STW engineered the complete replacement of the HVAC equipment serving the OR suite at the facility. The renovated HVAC system allows the entire suite to be serviced by a single central unit, providing uniform cooling and heating throughout. The facility was also fitted with new variable-air-volume (VAV) boxes serving OR rooms and support spaces, allowing for each space to achieve accurate airflow per ASHRAE Standard 170-2017. All operating rooms were modernized with new finishes and lighting, and the three oldest received laminar-flow diffuser systems. The new equipment was connected to the existing building control system, resulting in real-time feedback to maintenance personnel on equipment serving the OR suite.
