The Myriad Hotel, a 43,000 square-foot boutique hotel in Louisville’s Highlands, is a creative transformation of a former disco ball factory. The hotel features 65 uniquely designed rooms, a pool, a courtyard, and a restaurant and bar. Inspired by the 1970s, the design features warm wood wallcoverings, retro elements, and a disco ball installation in the lobby. The elevator adds to the nostalgic vibe with a “party button” that triggers music and
dancing lights.
STW’s mechanical engineering team tailored the HVAC systems to accommodate the 65 distinct room layouts, preserving the building’s unique character. The MEP design also integrated fun features, such as the elevator’s party button, seamlessly blending functionality with the hotel’s distinctive atmosphere.
Electrical engineering focused on enhancing the guest experience with custom light fixtures, accent lighting, and upgraded utility connections to support the pool, restaurant, and bars. Collaboration with interior designers ensured convenient power outlets and comprehensive WIFI coverage throughout the hotel.
