Honeywood by Ouita Michel, a 150-seat, 4,500 square foot restaurant, is part of Lexington’s Summit at Fritz Farm. Honeywood’s stylish bar and food are locally sourced and creatively prepared with a strong nod to Kentucky’s food traditions.
Lighting, fire alarms, and power were designed for general use and to support kitchen equipment. Sound systems were designed for restaurant background music. Voice and data systems were designed for point-of-sale stations and general use.
The HVAC system was designed to provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning to support a high fluctuation of patron and process (cooking) loads for all seasons of Kentucky weather, while incorporating seamlessly into the timeless design of the restaurant–right down to a locally-sourced ceiling fan to highlight local engineering ingenuity while also saving energy.
