Scott County was an early adopter of training high school students for the skilled workforce. With the completion of Elkhorn Crossing 2010, this was a significant commitment to a greater goal of making manufacturing and IT pathways available to students. Included in Scott County’s 250,000 SF Great Crossing High School are spaces dedicated to Manufacturing Technology, Welding, Pre-Engineering, Information Technology, Media Arts, Agriculture Science, Business Education, Fashion/Interior Design, Culinary and Food Service. This $60,000,000 investment is another example of the district’s pledge to workforce training at one of the Commonwealth’s premier high school facilities.
