The Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center is a hands-on children’s science museum that spans 390 million years of natural and cultural history, educating the community and inspiring newfound curiosity in the region’s past. STW was part of the team to complete a partial renovation of the center to provide an immersive media experience centered on the Lewis and Clark expedition into the Pacific Northwest.

The existing HVAC systems were reconfigured to accommodate the partial renovation. A new rooftop air-conditioning unit was installed to create a dedicated audiovisual room. The electrical upgrades included new lighting and lighting controls for the spaces. Special coordination and lighting design worked to enhance the exhibit design. Modifications were also made to the electrical distribution system to accommodate new lighting and the exhibit’s power requirements. The fire alarm systems and data systems were also updated.
