The electrical design included a full renovation of the reception area, various classrooms, and the media center. An LED light fixture package and a networked, programmable digital lighting control system, complete with occupancy sensing and dimming devices, were provided to maximize energy savings. Color-changing LEDs were designed for the entrance canopy and the FMD classroom to allow for customization based on school events and/or student special needs. The power system design included support for the newly renovated areas. Low-voltage systems included a new voice evacuation addressable type fire alarm system, voice/data network enhancements in all instructional areas to provide teachers with updated wired and wireless connections, as well as network cabling to new LED visual displays on the instructional walls, and an IP-based intercom and paging system installed across the entire facility.
