Sôlt Wellness is a premier destination for relaxation, restoration, and renewal. This tranquil spa, designed around a serene 400-square-foot salt room, offers a variety of wellness services, including infrared saunas, float therapy, red light therapy, a meditation pod, bodywork, and skin care. The project involved transforming an existing hot yoga studio into a salt spa, creating a peaceful haven for all who visit.
Mechanical design for this renovation included installing a new split-system heat pump to ensure optimal climate control throughout the spa. An energy recovery ventilator, salvaged during the demolition of the previous hot yoga studio, was effectively reused to maintain efficient air circulation. To protect the HVAC equipment from salt exposure, dampers were installed on the ducts entering the salt rooms, closing them off when the rooms are in use. The existing gas water heaters were retained to provide consistent hot water for all spa needs. For electrical design, the existing electrical panels were reused, making the most of the previous infrastructure.
